Race your heart and rest your soul - your days on retreat will consist of surfing lessons with the local surf school (no experience necessary), nourishing cuisine, vinyasa flow, restorative, yin yoga and yoga nidra.
This unique wellness experience really provides you with the space and time you need to align your soul and intentions for the year ahead. With four full days, this long-weekend escape is perfect for those who are in need of a real break and reset.
While it is an action packed, adventure weekend - there is also plenty of downtime for journaling, reading, swimming in the pool, soaking in the hot tub and the opportunity to truly turn within and heal your body and mind.

Mel is passionate about living and breathing a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Her own health journey began 15 years ago when she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. This was a pivotal point that gave her the opportunity to rediscover her health and what wellness really means. Living a holistic lifestyle, discovering natural medicine, a wholefood diet, yoga and meditation allowed her to fully regain my health and vitality.
Mel created Wellness Retreats to share her story and to inspire and guide others on their journey to healthier and happier lives. Mel loves the privilege of helping people as they undergo life changing transformations through making healthy and balanced lifestyle changes on a physical and mental level.
With a background in International Retreat Management, Mel has hosted over 200 wellness retreats and managed Escape Haven in Bali for two years, world renowned and award-winning women’s retreat. She is also a qualified yoga teacher, completing her 200 hour Vinyasa training in Seville, Spain, six years ago and she teaches at various studios around Auckland and for Corporate clients.

Nik Magerkorth is an advocate for ‘healing the whole’. With a passion for movement and wellbeing, Nik has dedicated the last decade of her life to living and studying the Sister Sciences of Naturopathy and Yoga, channelling these ancient healing arts into modern-day life-enhancing offerings.
With a corporate background in communications and a BA from The University of Otago, Nik is now a registered, and qualified Naturopath, Medical Herbalist and Yoga Teacher offering a holistic and therapeutic approach to her yogic teachings and naturopathic philosophy.
The Sister Sciences are deeply interwoven into her offerings. As a Naturopath and Herbalist, Nik believes in holism and views the body as an inter-connected system, treating clients as a whole person rather than an isolated condition.
Living and breathing her values and principles, Nik is a compassionate and holistic Yoga Teacher, who crafts thoughtful, dynamic sequencing with a great emphasis on Pratyahara (turning inward), Pranayama (breath control), Yoga Philosophy, well aligned Asana (yoga poses), in both Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
With over a decade of dedicated practice to Yoga, and experiencing first-hand the healing benefits to the body and mind of her natural crafts, Nik is passionate about sharing her love of Yoga, Naturopathy and Wellbeing with others.
